of these ellipses. It is a simplified procedure that allows visualiza-
tion of the orientation of the tangential stresses in the cross section
application of Jourávski expression for circular section scan pro-
vide a good indication of how the shear stresses derived from the
shear force are distributed by section. An alternative procedure for
application of this expression can be based on the division of the
